Profiles of the Dark Tetrad and the frequency of GAI-related academic misconduct
The rise of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) presents new challenges to academic integrity, enabling students to engage in academic misconduct with reduced effort and risk of detection. While previous research has examined personality predictors of academic misconduct, very few studies have adopted a person-centered approach to explore how distinct Dark Tetrad personality profiles relate to GAI-related misconduct over time. A total of 781 university students in Taiwan completed the Time 1 survey and 760…
Among Taiwanese university students, those in the Narc-Psych-Sad personality profile reported more frequent generative AI-related academic misconduct than those in the Machiavellian profile.
The High Dark Tetrad profile was small and, despite showing the highest observed means, did not differ significantly from the other two profiles, so conclusions about it are uncertain.

How to verify without trusting this page
Fetch the canonical text of any version from /api/record/TRV-2026-1535 and hash it yourself — for example shasum -a 256 on the saved canonical field. The result must equal content_hash, and each version’s text ends with prev:followed by the prior version’s hash (version 1 chains to 64 zeros). If a single character of any version had been altered since certification, the chain would not reproduce.
